Johnny Lightning Press Release
For Immediate Release:
Johnny Lightning Helps Makes a "Dream Come True" For The Toy Peddler
(Sept. 15th, 2010) Have you ever wished you could own one of the all time greatest muscle cars? Paul Biddle, owner and founder of The Toy Peddler
(www.thetoypeddler.com) has and he finally accomplished his dream nearly 2 years ago when he purchased a 1970 Dodge Challenger. The car was "basically a rusted out wreck with the exception of the built 500+ HP 440 CI engine that came with it." It needed most of the sheet metal replaced as well as the interior. After 18 months of work that included replacing most of the sheet metal and the interior, Biddle and his team accomplished his dream when he fired up the carlast May .
Soon after the start up, Tom Zahorsky, senior design engineer at Johnny Lightning, contacted Biddle with an offer he couldn't refuse. Tom offered to make "The Toy Peddler Challenger" as a 64th scale replica. It was a no-brainer for Biddle, "I tried to get other die-cast car manufacturers involved with this project, but none were interested. Instead, Tom approached ME!"
The Toy Peddler is the largest online source for collectible toys with over 15,750 members worldwide. Die-cast cars dominate the listings and Johnny Lightning products play a huge part. "JL products are high quality and very affordable to the average collector," says Biddle, "and it is every die-cast fan's dream to see their car on the shelf." Look for it at Wal-Mart and Toys R Us starting in late September. The approximate production will be 10,000 cars.
Snatch it up if you see it as it's sure to be a fast seller.
